PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a vacuum cleaner usable in the both cases of placement on a floor surface and grip by means of hand by permitting a power source cord draw direction to be in a cleaner main body side surface direction at the lower side of the main body and also providing a power source cord draw port at the more forward side than a wheel arranged on the bottom surface of the main body. SOLUTION: A sucking port 102 is connected to the cleaner main body 101 and cleaning is executed by operating a handle 103 disposed in the upper part of the main body 101. A power source cord exit 107 is the cord reel type one and the cord is drawn at the time of usage and inserted to an outlet. When a switch 105 is turned on, a motor-driven blower inside the main body is rotated, sucking force is generated, dust passes through the sucking port 102 so as to be collected in the dust collecting part of a dust collecting lid 104 and exhaust discharged from the motor-driven blower is discharged backward through a discharge port 106 arranged in the rear part of the main body. Besides, the wheel 108 is arranged on the bottom surface of the cleaner main body 101, the sucking port 102 and the wheel 108 are grounded on the surface to be cleaned on the floor or the like, the sucking port 102 is slid, the wheel 108 is rolled and, then, cleaning is executed.
