PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an outboard motor that a mechanism linked with the valve shaft of a throttle body is prevented from being greatly protruded left or right from a throttle cable. SOLUTION: A throttle body 7 having a valve shaft disposed in an upper/ lower direction is disposed in an intake pipe 66. The valve shaft of the throttle body 7 is driven by a throttle cable moved back and forth by a linking mechanism. This linking mechanism is provided with a rotary lever 73b protruded from the valve shaft in a diameter direction, a linked operation member connected to the end part of the rotary lever 73b, a first swinging lever 95 associated with the linking member and rotated around the axis of a left/right direction and a second swinging lever rotated around the axis of a left/right direction. The second swinging lever is provided with a cam 96a engaged with the first swinging lever, and one end thereof is connected to the throttle cable. |
