PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desensitizing ink capable of effecting printing while confirming the positions of the desensitizing ink which is printed in a pressure sensitive recording material and confirming the build-up amount of the desensitizing ink and further, a pressure sensitive recording material in which such a desensitizing ink is printed and a method for printing the desensitizing ink. SOLUTION: (1) A desensitizing ink comprises a compound which is color- developable by ultraviolet rays and color-dying with time. (2) In a pressure sensitive recording material in which a color former layer containing micro- capsules is provided on one side of a substrate and a developer layer is provided on the other side of the substrate a desensitizing ink layer is provided on the surface of the developer layer at its predetermined positions. (3) A method for printing a desensitizing ink comprises coating said desensitizing ink on the surface of the developer layer at its predetermined positions and subsequently irradiating the desensitizing ink-coated layer with ultraviolet rays.
