PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium pressure sensing device for sensing drilling reaction force or the like which is not limited by the type of a rock drill when a bedrock property probing method for sensing medium pressures such as drilling reaction forces is applied. SOLUTION: The medium pressure sensing device includes a cylinder member having an inner chamber 111 for introduction and delivery of a medium for transmitting pressures and a piston member which is inserted into the cylinder member to transmit pressures from the outside to the medium. And there are provided a medium pressure sensing means which senses a change in pressure generated in the medium when pressures are transmitted by the piston member to the pressure transmitting medium from the outside, a converting means to convert changes in pressure sensed by the medium pressure sensing means to electric signals, and a recording means to record the electric signals converted by the converting means. And a rock drill 15 for drilling an object of drilling can be releasably attached to a drilling device. Further, the piston member transmits drilling reaction forces being reaction forces at the time of drilling of the rock drill 15 to the pressure transmitting medium.
