PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the video reproduction device that can reproduce a stable video image by conducting hand shake correction with higher performance in the case of reproducing recorded video data. SOLUTION: A motion vector selection section 22 selects a motion vector of an image circumferential part based on a motion vector for each macro block obtained by applying decoding to a bit stream that is MPEG-coded by an MPEG decoder 15, a statistic calculation section 23 obtains a motion vector of an entire image, and a hand shake amount decision section 24 decides a hand shake of the entire image. Furthermore, a continuity check section 26 detects continuity between a plurality of images, and a horizontal vertical movement extract section 27 extracts consecutive horizontal/vertical movement. When the moved components are many, it is regarded as panning or tilting, a hand shake component extract section 28 extracts the component to detect a hand shake vector. A read position control section 30 controls an address of a read image from a memory section 12 based on the obtained hand shake vector to reproduce image data shifted by the hand shake vector.
