PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both operation transfer electric charge amount and transfer efficiency without arranging special means, i.e., by evading troubles such as a complex constitution and increase of the number of manufacturing processes. SOLUTION: This solid state image sensing device is provided with a sensor part, a vertical electric charge transferring registor part and a horizontal electric charge transfer register part 4. Slant of potential, e.g. stepwise slant which forms an electric field against signal electric charges toward an output side is formed in a channel part under an output gate part 18 of the output side of the horizontal electric charge transfer register part 4.
