ANALOG/MULTI-LEVEL MEMORY FOR DIGITAL IMAGING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital imaging system with high quality and its method with a simple configuration at a low cost. SOLUTION: This digital imaging system uses an analog/-multi-level memory 210 to store image data. The stored analog/multi-level data are directly accessed by an analog device or accessed by an A/D converter to be converted into a digital form. The digital data are fed to an optional desired digital device. Problems relating to store many digital data such as loss of information in image compression, large sized digital memory, and increased cost of a signal processing circuit are eliminated or minimized by using the analog/multi-level memory 210 in place of the digital memory to store the image data.
