摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the concentration of irradiation light to a liquid crystal layer, the elevation to high temp. and the exertion of an adverse influence on liquid crystals by specifying the relation between the thickness of the glass substrate on a liquid crystal layer side of the glass substrates and a focal length to an adequate relation. SOLUTION: A translucent panel 2 is constituted by joining the two glass substrates 8, 9. The surface of the one glass substrate 8 of the two glass substrates 8, 9 on the side facing the other glass substrate 9 is provided with many convex lenses 10 consisting of a high-refractive index material in a congested state. The device is so constituted as to satisfy 0.6/t<=(1/r)(n2-n1)/n3<1/t and 1/8<=p(1/r)(n2-n1)<=1/1.8 when the refractive index of the one glass substrate 8 among the two glass substrates 8, 9 is defined as n1, the refractive index of the high-refractive index material constituting the convex lenses 10 as n2, the refractive index of the other glass substrate 9 as n3, the radius of curvature of the convex lenses 10 as r, the thickness of the glass substrate 9 on the liquid crystal layer side of the two glass substrates at (t) and the longest distance between the centers of the adjacent convex lenses 10 as p.
