<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the keyboard input device, to which a pointing device for position control over a cursor is added, suitably small-sized and to improve the operability of the pointing device. SOLUTION: A base 2 is constituted by erecting a pillar body 1 on a flat plate type pedestal 6, strain gauges 3 are adhered and fixed to the four external flanks of the pillar body 1, and a flexible cable 4 is connected to the respective strain gauges 3 to constitute the pointing device. Many key tops are arrayed on the top surface of the housing 13 of the keyboard input device and a membrane sheet substrate 11 which are turned on and off with the key tops and a metal plate 10 which supports the membrane sheet substrate 11 are arranged in the housing 13. Then the pedestal 6 of the pointing device is fixed to the reverse surface of the metal plate 10 and the pillar body 1 is inserted into through holes 10c and 11a of the metal plate 10 and membrane sheet substrate 11 to project from the top surface of the housing 13 and arranged between key tops.</p> |
