PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a diabetes therapeutic drug having a new action mechanism free from adverse drug reactions by including a corticotropin-releasing factor receptor antagonist as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This diabetes therapeutic drug is obtained by including a corticotropin-releasing factor receptor antagonist, suitably a compound of formula I E is N or C-R9 (R9 is H, an alkyl or the like); G is C or N; R1 is H, an alkyl or the like; J is NR2R3 (R2 and R3 are each H, an alkyl or the like) or OR10 (R10 is an alkyl or the like); cyclic ring A is a fused thiophen ring or the like of formula II [Ar is a (substituted) aryl or a (substituted) heteroaryl; R4 is H, an alkyl or the like] or the like}, concretely 4-(N-butyl-N- ethylamino)-2,5-dimethyl-7-(2,4,6-trimethyl-phenyl)thieno[3,4-d]pyrimi dine or the like, as an active ingredient.
