PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printer which can limit an image deterioration to a minimum. SOLUTION: This ink-jet printer forms images to a recording medium by discharging liquid drops of ink from nozzles 21 of a line head 2 to the recording medium. In this case, contact parts 28 which come in contact with the recording medium are formed at a part other than openings of the nozzles 21, so that a distance between the nozzle 21 and recording medium is set to be minimum whereby the ink discharged from the nozzle 21 is formed into liquid drops.
