PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite bushing where dielectric breakdown can be prevented in advance by surely grasping the condition of insulation deterioration by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A composite bushing is formed by a cylindrical FRP core 7 and an envelope 8 fixed to the core 7 and made of high molecular insulating material such as silicone rubber. An earth side flange 2 is mounted at a lower end of the composite bushing 1, and a connection tank 3 is connected thereto through an insulator 4. Further a detection impedance 5 for conducting the earth side flange 2 and the connection tank 3 is mounted therebetween. A measuring device 10 for measuring the leaked current flowing on the surface of the envelope 8 is connected to the detection impedance 5.
