摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the position of leakage over the peripheral surface of a pipe by specifying the position of a defect in a sewer pipe from a measurement current from a measurement electrode being divided into a plurality of portions of a measurement probe. SOLUTION: Positions in the axial direction and radius direction of a defect in a sewer pipe 1 are specified by a measurement current from a measurement electrode being divided into at least two portions of the center part of a measurement probe 2. For example, the probe 2 is guided in the axial direction of the sewer pipe 1. The probe 2 is composed of electrodes being segmented into segments 3-6. The segments 3-6 are all at the same potential and receive power from the same power supply. Corresponding leakage currents 7-10 flow in the radius direction of a pipe wall surface from the segments 3-6. A defect current due to a leakage 12 of the wall surface of the sewer pipe 1 is generated. Therefore, by measuring the defect current of the segments 3-6, the position of the leakage 12 can be decided.
