摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent waste use of discharge energy by controlling power supply voltage by voltage control means so as to constantly set a discharging period on the basis of an information from a monitor means, and carrying out regulation so as to obtain minimum discharge energy which is necessary for ignition. SOLUTION: A waveform of a primary voltage of low voltage is observed by a controller 4 utilizing a relation that waveforms are remarkably similar to each other between primary voltage and secondary voltage, and thereby, the secondary voltage is estimated. In a controller 4, the primary voltage is detected by a primary voltage detecting sensor 10 arranged on an ignition coil 8 so as to control a d.c. chopper circuit 12, and the primary voltage is regulated so as to set voltage supplied from a d.c. power supply 7 to a minimum level in order to obtain desired secondary voltage. The primary voltage is regulated so as to generate voltage according to the magnitude of a load to an output side of the ignition coil 8 the secondary voltage is indirectly controlled, and thereby, it is possible to prevent waste use of discharge energy.
