SOLUTION: In a garbage treatment apparatus constituted so that the garbage treatment material 3 charged in a garbage treatment tank 1 is stirred by rotationally driving the stirring means provided in the garbage treatment tank 1 to decompose the garbage charged in the garbage treatment tank 1, a treatment material discharge tank 5 is provided so as to be adjacent to the garbage treatment tank 1 through a partition plate 4 and an opening part 6 allowing the garbage treatment material 3 to overflow toward the treatment material discharge tank 5 is provided to the partition plate 4. Further, the inspection port main body 21 closing the inspection port 28 provided to the lower part of the garbage treatment tank 1 is provided and the discharge opening 7 provided to the inspection port main body 21 and positioned at the lower part of the treatment material discharge tank 5 and the lid 22 for the inspection port 7 communicating with the discharge opening 7 are provided and a bag- shaped receiving tank 8 receiving the garbage treatment material 3 discharged from the treatment material discharge tank 5 is provided to the lid 22 for the inspection port in a freely detachable manner.
