PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply edit processing to an image by using various kinds of information sets obtained at video recording. SOLUTION: The camera system is provided with an image pickup device means 1 that generates an image signal, a recording and reproducing means 5 that applies recording reproduction processing to the image signal of an object photographed by the image pickup means 1, a control information generating means 11 that generates edit processing control information based on video recording information obtained at recording of the image signal when the recording and reproducing means 5 reproduces the image signal, and a transmission means 13 that applies transmission processing to the edit processing control information and the image signal through a single transmission path.
