PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner which can prevent dust and gas from entering inside a device even though a dust-proof member, etc., are drawn. SOLUTION: As to this optical scanner which deflects a laser luminous flux from a laser unit by a polygon mirror, condenses the laser luminous flux on a photoreceptor by an image formation optical system as a light spot, and performs optical scanning; a shutter 220 opening and closing an outgoing port linked with the attachment/detachment of an optical dust-proof unit 149 on a position opposed to the outgoing port of a housing 145 is provided.
