PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow accretion-proof transmission cable which is made of an aluminum wire and by which the snow accretion causing discontinuity or collapse of steel towers in snow fall, can be prevented. SOLUTION: A snow accretion-proof transmission cable is manufactured by forming an etched layer 21 comprising micro irregularities of several micron m on the surface of an aluminum strand 20, forming an aluminum hydration oxide layer 22 having above 800 times the effective surface enlargement ratio obtained by micro irregularities of 0.1-0.2 micron m, on the layer 21, forming a super water-repellent film 23 obtained by closely arranging a perfluorocarbon group (CF3 group) prepared by chemically adsorbing a fluorine-contained silane compound of 20 dyn/cm or less of critical surface tension to hydration oxide, onto the layer 22, and twisting the processed strand 20.
