PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input device for selecting shading correction data by a stop value, a zoom position and the kind of a lens and performing shading correction corresponding to an image pickup scene. SOLUTION: Based on control signals outputted from an optical lens 101 capable of outputting the control signals of the stop value, the zoom position and the kind of the lens, the shading correction data are selected and the shading correction corresponding to the position of a screen is performed by the multiplication operation of digital signals. Also, the shading correction data are computed in a CPU, new shading correction can be performed as well, and by providing the shading correction data for the respective chrominance signals of a CCD, the shading correction of reduced pseudo colors can be executed as well.
