METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DEFROSTING ICE PLUG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for defrosting an ice plug in a short time by efficiently transmitting heat to a frozen part with out damaging a piping facility. SOLUTION: Hot water 40 heated in a thermostatic tank 38 is allowed to flow to a heat fluid inflow pipe 30 of a defrosting jig 24 arranged on a piping through a hose 46. The inflow pipe 30 constitutes a double pipe together with a promoting pipe 22 inserted in a piping 20. The hot water is allowed to flow from the inflow pipe 30 to the promoting pipe 22 inserted in the piping 20. The hot water 40 transmits heat to an ice plug 42 formed around the promoting pipe 22 through the promoting pipe 22. The ice plug 42 is defrosted from its part near the promoting pipe 22, and the central part in the section of the piping 20, having the minimum thickness is perforated. Therefore, fluid in the piping 20 shut off by the ice plug 42 can be allowed to flow in the piping through a through-hole, and the water passing state in the piping is recovered.
