PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To plan a product while performing the quantitative evaluation of the recycle possibility or environmental load of the whole of the product on the way of the planning of the product. SOLUTION: A product evaluation apparatus has a data base having the attribute of a material recorded thereon, an input part 101 wherein the shape of the part constituting a product is planned and the material used in the part is designated, a memory part 103 wherein the attribute of the part correlated in the attribute of the material recorded on the data base and the material of the part designated in the input part 101 and the shape of the part planned in the input part 101 are recorded, a calculation part wherein the characteristics of the product are calculated on the basis of the shape of the part recorded on the memory part 103 and the attribute of the part and an output part outputting the calculation result of the calculation part.
