PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease dimensional changes in an elapsed time after heat development, to eliminate the production of wrinkles and to decrease the dimensional changes before and after the heat development by providing a base coating layer of specified thickness containing a vinylidene chloride copolymer on the both surfaces of a supporting body. SOLUTION: This material is used to form an image by heat development and the developing temp. is between >=80 deg.C and <=140 deg.C. The both surfaces of a supporting body are provided with a base coating layer containing a vinylidene chloride copolymer. At this time, the vinylidene chloride copolymer contains the repeating units of a vinylidene monomer by >=70 wt.%. In this case, by using the supporting body with the both surfaces of which are coated with a base coating layer of >=0.3μm thickness (total thickness per one surface) containing the vinylidene chloride copolymer, dimensional changes with the elapsed time after heat development can be prevented. In such the supporting body, the dimensional changes of the supporting body itself due to heating or the production of recesses can be suppressed by applying heat treatment to the body after the base coating layer is provided.
