ENGINE FOR CYLINDER DIRECT INJECTION OF FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance starting property by considering fuel behavior at very low temperatures and deciding a piston shape in applying very low temperature starting to an engine for cylinder direction injection of fuel. SOLUTION: Fuel reserving grooves 102 are dispersed and formed at a plurality of places, avoiding directly under an ignition plug 100 and its vicinity in a recessed cavity 101 on the top face of a piston 10. This disperses the jumping of residual fuel in the plug direction caused by cranking in starting an engine, depressing plug covering. Dispersing the jumping fuel accelerates the mixing of fuel in an engine cylinder with intake to enhance starting enhancing the engine starting property.
