THERMOSETTING RESIN SOLUTION COMPOSITION, COLOR FILTER AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thermosetting resin solutions excellent in planarization properties, suitable in prevention of occurrence of a failure of display due to the surface irregularity of a color filter of a liquid crystal display and in the prevention of occurrence of defects in coating; color filters using the thermosetting resin solution compositions which do not cause a failure of display due to their surface irregularity and reduce defects in coating; and liquid crystal displays. SOLUTION: The overcoat of a color filter is formed from a thermosetting resin solution composition composed of a compound having at least one of an alkoxysilane, a silanol and a silanol condensation product and at least one of an acid anhydride and a carboxylic acid in the same molecule and an alicyclic epoxy compound.
