PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate shaped heat exchanger which is thinner and lighter compared with the prior art. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger includes an aluminum substrate 2, and an aluminum molded structure 3 where a predetermined flat plate shaped upper protruded section 31 having a working fluid injecting inlet forming horizontal opened portion is formed and a flange section 32 is formed on a peripheral edge of the upper protruded section 31 excepting said opened portion. The flange section 32 of the aluminum molded structure 3 is joined with the aluminum substrate 2, and a working fluid encapsulating hollow section 4 having a working fluid injection hole is formed. Thus, a working fluid is injected into the hollow portion 4 to close the working fluid injection hole whereby a heat pipe section 5 is formed. |
