IMPROVED METHOD FOR MASTIC COATING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mastic system having superior adhesion and blister resistance to those of conventional systems. SOLUTION: Use is made of a latex polymer which is insoluble in water, has a grass transition temperature of -25 deg.C to 20 deg.C and is prepared from a monomer mixture comprising (a) at least 20 wt.% of at least one hydrophobic monomer selected from the group consisting of 8-24C alkyl (meth)acrylates, (b) 0 to 45 wt.% of at least one vinyl aromatic monomer, (c) 0 to 75 wt.% of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of 1-4C alkyl (meth) acrylates and (d) 0 to 5 wt.% of at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid.
