PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the shape of an object to be measured with a complex shape by obtaining the coordinates of a measurement point on the object to be measured of a measurement head center coordinates system, and by converting the measurement point on the object to be measured of the measurement head center coordinates system into world coordinates system coordinates based on the position information of a measurement bead obtained by the world coordinates system. SOLUTION: A post 202 is mounted onto a rest 201 where an object 100 to be measured is placed, and a horizontal bar 203 is mounted at the upper part of the post 202. Also, a device is provided with a measurement head 10 that can be freely moved, stereo cameras 21 and 22 that are mounted to both the ends of the horizontal bar 203, and a controlling device 30. Then, the measurement head 10 is used, and a measurement point on the object 100 to be measured of the coordinates system of a measurement head center is obtained. A rotary matrix R for indicating the movement of the measurement head 10 in a world coordinates (X-Z) system, and a translation vector (t) are obtained. Based on the obtained rotary matrix R and the translation vector (t), the coordinates of the measurement point on the object 100 to be measured of the measurement head center coordinates system are converted to the coordinates of the world coordinates system.
