PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform transmission illumination of the direct-view indicator and the reflection virtual image display of a display device to cause synthetic indication through combination of the direct-view display and the reflection virtual image display through a single light source. SOLUTION: Planar emission light guiding plates 16 and 19 to cause a direct- view display 11 and a reflection virtual image display 18 to effect transmission illumination are disposed on the backs of the direct-view display 11 and the reflection virtual image display 18. Further, the light guiding plates are positioned such that the side edges of the light guiding plates 16 and 19 make access to each other. Moreover, a single light source 20 is provided to be positioned corresponding to the respective side edges of the two light guiding plates 16 and 19.
