REMOTE TEST METHOD FOR TERMINAL ADAPTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote test method capable of performing a test between terminal adapters through a communication line even without connecting data terminal equipment or loop connector to the terminal adapter concerning the remote test method for terminal adapter for connecting the data terminal equipment to the communication line. SOLUTION: This method is composed of processing for starting the test from a terminal adapter 2a on one side through a communication line 3 to a terminal adapter 2b on the other side, processing for forming an internal loop so that the terminal adapter on the other side can return data received from the communication line to the communication line in response to the test start, processing for transmitting test data from the terminal adapter on one side through the communication line to the terminal adapter on the other side, and processing for discriminating whether communication can be normally performed or not by confirming whether the contents of test data transmitted by the terminal adapter on one side are equal to the contents of test data returned by the terminal adapter on the other side or not.
