PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate layout working of an original. SOLUTION: A read means 1 reads an image of an original and outputs original information. A variable power rate designation means 4a sets a variable power rate to magnify/reduce the original. A read start position designation means 4b designates a read start position of the original. A control means 2 controls a read means 1 to read the original and a write means 3 to write in a matter to be printed so that the original information of the original is written in the matter to be printed from a read start position designated by the read start position designation means 4b and only desired image information is formed on the matter to be printed.
