PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an electromagnetic actuator for removing difficulties found in a conventional technique. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic actuator operates a driving member 7 equipped with at least one conductible electromagnet 1 and 2 to be controlled, and a contact piece 5 operationally connected with the driving member 7 so as to be butted to polar faces 3 and 4 of the electromagnets 1 and 2 against the force of at least one return spring 10 supported by a housing 12 when the electromagnets 1 and 2 are conducted. In this case, at least the contact piece 5 is supported by the return spring 10 by a link device 11.
