PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and surely perform focusing operation even in the case of mounting a conversion lens. SOLUTION: In order to make a lens mount frame 74 coincide with the optical axis of a lens barrel 73, fixing screws 81 and 82 are loosened first to utilize the play amount of holes through which the screws 81 and 82 are passed in the directions X and Y and to move adjusting screws 78, 79 and 80 by the same amount in the direction Z. In order to rotate the frame 74 around the X-axis, the screws 79 and 80 are mutually moved in the reverse direction, in order to rotate it around the Y-axis, the screws 79 and 80 are moved by the same amount in the same direction and the screw 78 is moved in the opposite direction. Furthermore, in order to rotate it around the Z-axis, the play amount of the holes through which the screws 81 and 82 are passed, is utilized in the same manner as the case that they are moved in the directions X and Y. Thus, the screws 81 and 82 are tightened after detecting the optical axis.
