PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the blurring of a main object at the time of photographing the main object such as a person with a night scene in the background, at night. SOLUTION: The range-finding of an object is executed by an AF circuit 8 and a microcomputer 1 executes the A/D conversion of range-finding output after being received and drives a lens, to focus it. A shutter driving circuit 9 and a buzzer driving circuit 10 execute sounding with various kinds of patterns and stop the sounding. This camera is provided with a feeding motor control circuit 11, a dial 12 for changing a night scene mode, an automatic mode, a sport mode, a macro-mode, a portrait mode, etc., a release button 14 and a switch SW1 for starting the operation of the camera. Turning on is attained by the first stroke of the release button 14 and when the microcomputer 1 recognizes that turning on is attained, photometry and range-finding are started. An SW2 turned on by the second stroke of the release button 14 of the camera starts an exposure operation, when the microcomputer 1 recognizes that turning on is attained.
