PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enlarging observation device by which the area of an observation object to be desired to observe is observed as a stereoscopic picture from an arbitrary visual point, a visual field and an angle by converting an optically magnified picture of the observation object into three-dimensional data. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an objective lens 6 and a microscope lens barrel 7 as an optically magnifying means to obtain the optically magnified picture of an observation object W, an image pickup device 8 picking up the optically magnified picture, a moving positioning means moving and positioning the objective lens 6 and the microscope lens barrel 7 to/at an arbitrary relative position for the observation object W, a three-dimensional picture data generating means generating stereoscopic three-dimensional picture data from the plural picture data image-picked up at a different relative position for the observation object W by driving and controlling the moving positioning means and a picture processing and driving controlling device 31 displaying the stereoscopic picture based on the three-dimensional picture data of the observation object W stereoscopically in an arbitrary visual field and at a visual point and an angle.
