PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the detection of generation of abnormality in a circulating fan quickly and surely by a comparatively simple constitution, in a cooker circulating the combustion heat of a burner in a cooking chamber by the circulating fan. SOLUTION: A safety device for a cooker is provided with a fan stop detecting circuit, storing an abnormality detecting time data, set based on a standard fire extinguishing time in accordance with a cooking temperature, into a memory or the like to compare the stored abnormality detecting time data with a fire extinguishing time detected upon cooking and when the detected fire extinguishing time is not shorter than the abnormality detecting time data, the circuit decides that the circulating fan 7 is abnormal.
