PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an aluminum-base monosheet DTR material for manufacturing a planographic printing plate exhibiting no white spots on an image area and no horseshoe-shaped dark spots on a non-image area and having superior printing ability after it is imagewise exposed and developed. SOLUTION: The roughened and anodically oxidized surface of an aluminum substrate is successively coated with (i) an image receiving layer contg. physical developing nuclei, (ii) a photosensitive layer contg. a silver halide emulsion and having water permeability relation with the image receiving layer and, optionally, (iii) an antistress layer having water permeability relation with the image receiving layer. The aluminum substrate is guided on rollers before coating with the silver halide emulsion layer, each of the rollers exclusively has a metallic surface and the average length of contact of the substrate with the rollers per 1 m unwinding length is >0.070 m. The objective silver salt diffusion transfer image forming element is produced. |
