<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a color filter excellent in spectral absorption characteristics, ensuring slight blurring of the boundary parts of pixel patterns after high temp. treatment and excellent in light resistance even after the high temp. treatment by incorporating a specified hydroquinone compd. SOLUTION: The color filter contains a hydroquinone compd. represented by the formula, wherein R12 and R13 are each sec. or tert. alkyl such as sec. or tert. dodecyl but the total number of carbon atoms of R12 and R13 is >=20. A compd. having a spectral absorption coefft. of >=17,000 and the absorption max. wavelength in the range of 335-390 nm is preferably contained. The amt. of gelatin is preferably 4-12 g per 1 m2 of the color filter, The color filter has a plastic film substrate having >=200 deg.C glass transition temp. (Tg).</p> |
