PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the processing capacity of software against the increase of pass setting throughput in a time-division switching device by including information or the number-of-set channels indicating the number of channels for setting up passes in a pass setting instruction. SOLUTION: Three pieces of information, namely, 'head number of input channel', 'head number of output channel' and 'number of set channels' are set up in a pass setting instruction included in software 15, and in the case of connecting plural continuous channels by a pass connection device 10 in a time-division switch, the pass setting instruction setting up the three pieces of information are sent from the software 15 to an order receiving part 16. The pass setting instruction controls a talking pass from the order receiving part 16 to a time-division switch(TDSW) 11 through an order processing part 14, a memory write control part 13 and a control memory 12.
