PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To moderate the bent part of a turned page, to reduce the stress applied to the page and to prevent the impairment of the page by rotating a holding means which holds the page turned by a turning means of pages of a bookbinding type original toward the rising position of the holding means against the original surface. SOLUTION: When an electromagnetic device 41 is driven by a control means 42, a link 43 moves (from a solid line position to a single dot chain line position) via a fulcrum 49. Thus, a pair of guide plates 37, 37 turn and rises (from a solid line position to a broken line position) via a 2nd arm 47 of the link 43. In other words, the guide plates 37, 37 turn toward its rising position (a single dot chain line position) against the original surface while the plates 37 are holding a page. Then the plates 37, 37 rise to set an obtuse angle at a part of the page that is bent between the parts held by the plates 37, 37 and the original surface part.
