PURPOSE: A reservation recording method of a cable TV reception broadcasting is provided to minimize an unnecessary power consumption by controlling a power of a cable TV at start and end points of a reservation recording. CONSTITUTION: The method for recording a reservation broadcasting signal received from a cable TV converter(200) comprises the steps of: confirming whether or not a broadcasting signal is received at a previously reserved time; transmitting a power up signal to the cable TV converter when the broadcasting signal is received at a previously reserved time; transmitting a reserved channel select command; and recording the broadcasting signal received from the cable TV converter.
