PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively, safely, and surely manage the quality of the feedwater to a boiler, by injecting a chemical into a condensate tank by using a medical instiller. SOLUTION: Since the condensate from a condenser 9 is returned to a condensate tank 1 when pure water is supplied to the tank 1, the supply of the pure water from a pure water device fills up the tank 1 containing an insufficient amount of water. A chemical containing a boiler compound and an oxygen scavenger is injected into the pure water and condensate in the tank 1 from a medical instiller 10, and the compound and scavenger are mixed with the pure water and condensate by means of a line mixer 31 installed to the outlet of the tank 1. The water mixed with the chemical is sent to a deaerator 3 by means of a feed water pump 2 for deaerator, and deaerated water is physically produced by the superheated steam from a high-pressure steam pocket 7. In addition, dissolved oxygen is also removed chemically by the mixed oxygen scavenger. Therefore, the quality of the feedwater to a boiler can be managed inexpensively, safely, and surely.
