PURPOSE: A device and a method of health measurement is provided to indicate the state of health of a measured person by the difference of heart rate measured by measuring the heart rate before and after exercise. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises:a key input unit(116) to input measurement information by a user; a heart rate measurement unit(112) to measure the heart rate of the user; a memory unit(120) to store the input measurement information and the proper exercise information corresponding to the heart rate measured before exercise from the heart rate measurement unit; a control unit(110) to judge the propriety of the present exercise style; and an indication unit(118) to indicate the exercise information read by the control of the control unit and to make the user recognize the propriety or the impropriety of the exercise style.
