PURPOSE: A synchronization method and a device of an OFDM receiver are provided to accomplish a symbol/frame timing synchronization, a returning wave frequency synchronization, and a sampling clock frequency synchronization of an OFDM signal by using one standard symbol. CONSTITUTION: The synchronization method of the OFDM receiver contains steps of: transmitting an OFDM standard symbol to the very first of an OFDM signal frame; receiving the transmitted OFDM signal r(t); obtaining a digital OFDM signal sample rk by converting the received analog OFDM signal to a digital; performing the operation of the digital OFDM signal samples, however, accomplishing a timing synchronization by detecting the starting point of a symbol/frame of the OFDM signal.
