PURPOSE: A portable computer is provided to prevent a robbery of a portable computer by generating a robbery alarm. CONSTITUTION: The portable computer comprises: a display part(14) coupled to a hinge structure of a body(12), wherein the display part(14) is folded and unfolded on the basis of the body; a latch(20) installed to the display part and connected with the body so as not to be rotated under a state that the display part is folded; and a robbery alarm part(50) installed to the body, wherein the robbery alarm part is set to an alarm mode by use of a designated key, and generates an alarm sound when the latch is coupled to the body under the alarm mode; and wherein the alarm mode is dissolved by use of the key.
