METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAFETY CIRCUIT OF MICROWAVE OVEN

PURPOSE: A method of controlling a safety circuit of a microwave oven is provided to promote the convenience and the safety of a user as well as to prevent a microwave oven from overheating or on fire. CONSTITUTION: A safety circuit of a microwave oven is controlled by the steps of:turning off a power relay(RY3) by sensing an open state of a third or a fourth temperature switches(TCO3,TCO4) with a microcomputer(10) if a magnetron(MGT) or a cabinet(20) is overheated to perform the safety function by stopping the magnetron; driving a fan motor(3) of an apparatus chamber(23) and quickly cooking the surface of the magnetron and the cabinet by keeping the open state of a main relay(RY1) even if the magnetron is stopped; and making a user recognize the overheat or the firing by generating an alarm or indicating a message from an alarm/indicating unit(11) after outputting a specific signal from the microcomputer.
