PURPOSE: A roll shape diagnosis device using frequency analysis of tension signal and method thereof is provided to effectively maintain the system. CONSTITUTION: The present invention discloses a roll shape diagnosis device using frequency analysis of tension signal comprising:a tension measuring unit mounted on different spans on the thin plate fed by rolls, and generating tension signal about time proportional to the tension applied to respective span of the thin plate; and an abnormal roll detecting unit storing the tension signal to the time generated from the tension measuring unit, converting the stored tension signal into the spectrum signal to frequency section and dividing prescribed frequency having spectrum feature, and finding abnormal roll having wearing or eccentricity being used in a continuous processing system by using the divided prescribed frequency.
