LCD USING COMPOSITE ELECTRIC FIELD METHOD AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An LCD and manufacturing method thereof are provided, which forms a pair of driving electrode on an identical layer to induce a desirable electric field forming, simultaneously etches a semiconductor layer and a pad, and couples a cumulative dose wire and a data wire for forming a cumulative dose. CONSTITUTION: An LCD comprises: a substrate; a gate wire (101) and a data wire (102) to be arranged on the substrate for defining a pixel region; a thin film transistor to be formed at a cross portion of the gate wire (101) and the data wire (102); a common electrode (107) and a data electrode (108) to be formed on an identical layer with a gate electrode (103) in the pixel region and a cumulative dose wire for providing an electric field to be parallel with a surface of the substrate; a protecting film (122) for covering the thin film transistor, the common electrode (107), and an entire substrate on the data electrode (108); a first oriented film to be formed on the protecting film (122); an opposed electrode to be formed on a substrate opposed to the substrate; and a second oriented film to be formed on the opposite electrode. Therefore, the manufacturing progress of the LCD is reduced.
