PURPOSE: A horizontal display device is provided to prevent to damage the appropriate content by an over drive or an under drive while controlling a horizontal display size into maximum or into minimum. CONSTITUTION: The horizontal display device has; a user control key to control a horizontal size; a pulse width modulating circuit to control the amount of current supplied to a horizontal deflection yoke coil; a horizontal size regulation control device to control the pulse width modulation of the pulse width modulating circuit; a memory to store a standard data about a maximum/minimum horizontal size; a first input port to accept the input of the user control key; a second input port to control the maximum/minimum horizontal size.
