TONE CONVERSION METHOD BY A CODEBOOK MAPPING ACCORDING TO A PHONEME

PURPOSE: A tone conversion method is provided to convert a tone in detail by each phoneme by using a code vector according to a phoneme. CONSTITUTION: The tone conversion method comprises the steps of: generating codebook mapping tables in accordance with phoneme types, wherein the codebook mapping tables are configured such that a block group is accessed by an index of a code vector, which is comprised to a codebook of an original talker, the block group having plural field blocks each consisting of an index field and a mapping frequency field; judging the kind of the phoneme from a voice frame; converting the voice frame to a line spectral pair factor; searching a codebook in accordance with checked kinds to determine an index of a code vector similar to the line spectral pair; accessing the codebook mapping table by an index of the determined code vector to convert the accessed table to a code vector of an object talker; and generating a tone-converted synthesis voice by the code vector.
