REPRESENTATIVE BY AREA COLOR VALUE DESIGNATING METHOD IN COLOR IMAGE

摘要

PURPOSE: A designating method of a representative color figure based on an area is provided to express the color characteristic of a color image in an image searching apparatus based on the image as a content. CONSTITUTION: The designating method of a representative color figure is composed of the steps of: dividing the image area into a regular-sized block; expressing the color characteristic of the image, using the only one color per the block by designating one of the averages within the blocks as the representative color figure, that the maximum first standard color figure is over a first standard figure, the maximum color group is over a second standard color group figure or is over a third standard distribution figure.
